Fall Writing Journal

It is so important to incorporate writing into your everyday routine...but it's not always easy to craft writing lessons and prompts. That is why I made a no-prep writing journal.

The packet includes 60 journal pages with writing prompts to improve students overall writing skills. You can simply print and staple together, and you will have enough writing prompts for every school day in September, October and November (and then some)!

Each page includes a clear writing prompt and a "Think About It" section. The "Think About It" section includes questions directly related to the prompt. By thinking about these questions and answering them within their writing, students will be practicing the art of adding details to their work!

Every Monday has the writing prompt "Tell Me About Your Weekend" which is always a class favorite, because they love to brag about the things that they did. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday contain random writing prompts and Fridays are always "Free Choice Writing" to allow those creative juices within our students to flow!

This is the perfect addition to your writing block, ELA centers, morning work, intervention groups or even for fast finishers.

-Writing Reminder Checklist in Wall Poster Form
